But this way it didn't really work for me.quite a shame too, I had high epectations when I was going to watch this again seeing that I love Jan's theme for this. If they would have had him kill at least one person or do something really cruel/brutal at the beginning of the episode then that would have worked for me - as to why they all get so worked up and why Crockett puts pretty much everything on the line. I mean seriously, the guy was whack so he just as well might have without being a murderer or whatever. I understand that the guy was built up to be some psychpathic murderer aka murder was supposed to be the crime he was ultimately leaping towards but to be honest - the guy also could have leaped towards something like just exposing himself or whatever.
Sure, the music is great and suspenseful and the acting by Don and that other detective gone crazy is quite convincing too - but for what? Because the guy smears some flour on his face and takes steaks out of fridges? Ok, breaking and entering is a crime but this almost felt ridiculous. Because to me for almost the entire episode I didn't see the threat.
I just watched this episode again and I have to voice some criticism.
